HEALTH & SAFETY
We strongly recommend that Teachers visit the museum before the date of the proposed school trip. You can make an appointment or visit during our normal opening hours (Saturday and Sunday, 12 - 4pm). Please let reception know that you are a Teacher planning a visit and entry is free.
The Teacher leading a visit is responsible for producing their own Risk Assessment.
Their are two exits in the event of the fire alarm sounding and all fire exits are clearly marked. For visitors on the ground floor, the exit point is the main front door. Visitors on the first floor should proceed down the stairs, turn right and exit out of the fire door. The Assembly Point is on the pavement outside of the front door of the museum.
A First Aid kit is available. All accidents should be reported to a member of staff who will the record the accident in the Accident Book.
